What are veneers?

Veneers are thin sheets of material, usually porcelain, that are permanently cemented to the front of your teeth. You can easily improve the appearance of your smile with veneers.

What can veneers treat?

Veneers are one of the most versatile cosmetic dentistry procedures. They can change the size, shape, length, and color of your teeth, even stepping in for minor orthodontic concerns.

  • Gapped teeth
  • Discolored teeth
  • Misshapen teeth
  • Small teeth
  • Broken teeth
  • Worn teeth

What to expect while getting veneers?

Because of our concierge experience and our in-house lab, you can typically get your veneers in a single day. After you and your dentist at Paradigm Dental determine that veneers are the right choice for you, he will prepare your teeth for your veneers. The preparation process requires your dentist to shave off a small amount of your tooth enamel to make room for your veneers.

Once your teeth are prepared, he will take impressions of your teeth to make sure that your veneers fit properly on your teeth. From these impressions, your dentist will custom make your veneers with our in-house laboratory equipment.

Once your custom veneers are made, Dr. Mark Shalaby or Dr. Mike Shalaby will clean your prepared teeth and ensure that your veneers fit properly and match the color of your surrounding teeth. After your dentist checks that your veneers are the right shape, size, and color, he will affix them to the front of your teeth, permanently improving your smile.

Benefits of porcelain veneers

When it comes to cosmetic dentistry, porcelain veneers have many benefits to consider. Not only can they easily give you your best smile, but they are also long-lasting and stain-resistant, meaning that your investment will be protected long-term.

  • Versatile
  • Long-lasting
  • Stain resistant
  • Natural appearance
  • Less tooth preparation than with crowns

Am I a candidate for veneers?

Most people are good candidates for veneers; however, not everyone is. Because of the tooth preparation process, your teeth will always need to be protected by either veneers or porcelain crowns. Additionally, some cosmetic concerns really should be treated with something like Invisalign®, so depending on your reason for wanting veneers, your dentist may recommend other treatments either in lieu of or before veneers.

How much do veneers cost?

While veneers aren’t the most cost-effective cosmetic dentistry procedure, most people find them worth the investment. Veneers are an investment in your self-confidence and your quality of life. We are proud to partner with CareCredit and offer in-house financing options on a case-by-case basis. If you want to learn more about your financing options, talk to our billing staff and patient care coordinator to explore your flexible payment options. You deserve to have the smile you’ve always wanted.
